Fall is officially here and that means that it’s time for the Mary Allen Studio Tour. The event returns for its 29th year. MAST is one of my favourite local art events. It’s a great way to get out and enjoy the crisp fall weather while supporting local artists.
Continuing the tradition of celebrating art in Waterloo MAST 2018 artists once again open their doors to the community to share their passions and talents. The mission of the Mary Allen Studio Tour began with the simple goal of encouraging neighbours to get to know the talented artists living and working within the Mary Allen neighbourhood. While the tour has grown over the years to include homes in the Uptown neighbourhood of Avondale and Menno, as well as homes in Belmont Village the goal remains the same.
Waterloo is a city full of talented persons who embrace all manner of the arts and it is truly inspiring to visit the locations on this tour and marvel in the creativity. With 2 new locations and 7 new artists (over 40 artists total) there is something for everyone. Get the perfect piece of art for your home while strolling through the beautiful neighbourhoods. Find the perfect one of a kind gift and talk with your talented neighbours.
