Discover some of the most amazing art being created in the Waterloo Region!
The 11th annual KW Central Art Walk is on Saturday, October 21, 2018 from 10-5 and Sunday, October 22, 2018 from 12-5. This is an annual studio tour and sale in the beautiful Kitchener neighbourhoods bounded by Park Street, Victoria Street, Weber Street and Union Street. The event runs rain or shine and admission is FREE! Spend a few hours, the day, or the entire weekend exploring, discovering and celebrating the arts. Many friends of Culture Fancier and artists that have been interviewed on the blog will be participating this year.

If you love art, interior decorating and shopping for one-of-a-kind gift items; you will enjoy exploring the fine art, jewelry, paintings, food, photography, pottery, glass and fibre arts created by talented artists. The prices range according to the items and artists. Guests have the opportunity to join in a FREE draw. Get a passport card stamped at various locations along the art walk and once the passport is complete, submit it in the FREE draw and win prizes from the participating artists in the KW Central Art Walk. Sometimes they win a small prize bag with a small painting, or a few handmade cards, or other wonderful surprises. Once, one lucky guest won an 8x10 framed watercolour painting that they really liked but were not able to buy.
Join the more than a thousand expected guests at this year's walk. It's easy to navigate your own self-guided tour, by following a map which can be accessed at www.centralartwalk.com or pick up a hard copy at any of the local coffee shops, libraries, community centres and at various spots along the art walk, beginning at 142 Waterloo Street in Waterloo.
If you are a local artist that wants to participate in a future walk, new applications are always welcome. The best way to find out is to check the website in the new year. The call for artists usually goes out in the spring.
