I love TOAF. It’s a summer highlight. I’ve volunteered for the event before and I’ve also written about the event on the blog. This year the fair moved online with more than 300 juried artists showcasing and selling their work online. There was also virtual art talks and studio visits. Big congratulations to the TOAF team for putting together such a great event!
I was honoured to be asked to curate a collection of Photography and Digital Media works and also to be the judge for that category. I chose Sage Szkabarnicki-Stuart as the award winner. For my judge’s statement, I said “Sage’s work is whimsically strange. It makes you want to look closer. It asks the viewer to think about their responsibility to and relationship with the natural world”.
